Krrish Reviews:

I was so eager to see the sequel to "Koi Mil Gaya" which in my opinion was not only a refreshing film, but had a great character written for Hrithik Roshan, and he DID deliver. But "Krrish" is so sappy and so one dimensional that even the most ardent fans of Hrithik, such as myself, found it difficult to sit through the overly sentimentalized movie. I wanted to wipe the perpetual smile off of his face and the almost infantile portrayal of the super hero was as flat as a day old chappati. The songs and dances will be forgotten as soon as you exit the theatre. And Priyanka Chopra is not someone who lights up the screen with her acting abilities. Nasiruddin Shah was having fun with his over the top villain role and not much else. The dialogue was so bland and cheesy and the stunts were from Matrix 101. That was the biggest disappoint. Hrithik just does not come off as a super hero and more's the pity. If there is a sequel to this, please Rakesh Roshan, hire a qualified script writer and give a better grip to the story with more shades of grey to the characters. I hope to see Hrithik soon in a better written film. He is a good actor wasted in substandard films. Maybe he should do a couple of films with Ram Gopal Verma to wipe out his goodtwoshoes image.

When I saw the film Gangster I was amazed at how wonderful it was. The acting was brilliant and the story line was good. It is not your average Karan Johar love movie. It is wonderful the way they act and the feeling they all put into it. The ending was killer and it made the movie. Unlike a lot of other movies that I have seen, this movie makes you feel for the characters. When they are in pain it's like you are in pain. If you sometimes cry in movies get a tissue box. This movie had great actors in it and they all showed a lot of emotion. This film was truly a beautiful film. The upcoming movie Woh Lamhe stars two of the main actors that were in this movie. Don just continues to prove that Farhan Akhtar is a brilliant director, taking a big budget blockbuster and making it smart, fast-paced and fun. Shahrukh Khan does really well as the villain, something I had not expected going into the movie. Priyanka Chopra is strong as the female lead, and Arjun Rumpal is especially good in his smaller but important role. The music in the movie is one of its strongest points, every song is carried out with excitement, yet the songs don't take away from the plot of the movie at all, they enhance the scenes they are complementing. One of my favorite Bollywood films of the past couple years, up there with Rang de Basanti and Kal Ho Naa Ho.

It has story,revenge,action,awesome visuals, great bikes,racing,super songs, heart touching climax,exiting suspense(but it is taken from the movie prestige) and brilliant acting by Aamir khan. only 2 thing i hate in this movie is the bike transferring to a boat that horrible and Abhishek Bachchan(waste) why cant them just remove him from this movie. Malang song awesome. i cant tell you how brilliant is Aamir acting you have to see it yourself. i promise you will not regret.

Dhoom 2 Reviews:

Because I am in Amsterdam, and Indian movies are released here a week behind the India release (with Dutch sub-titles), I was surely tempted to see a Bollywood movie in Netherlands. Dhoom 2 was released and in India had opened in full houses. The movie boasted of great music, great action, great dance, great star cast – a bigger canvas, a bigger story and bigger stunts.

I had also heard later that the movie is not good – except Hritik Roshan. With this mixed reviews in my head, I went to see Dhoom 2 in Pathe Arena theatre. Pathe Arena is a theatre that is located a bit far – in South of Amsterdam. The theatre hall is good. I think the biggest of all the Pathe theatres.

I was happy to see many Indians in the movie hall. The movie unlike in India – did not have an interval break in between.

Now the movie. Hritik was fantastic, he carried the movie on his shoulder. Not a single move of his was out of place. Each expression, each twitch on his face represented the emotion that was undergoing the character.

But the movie was bad. Abhishek acted as if he was acting in his first movie. Ashwairya looked starved to death – except her face – her body was ugly to look at. Adiya Chopra – he had the best dialogues and punch lines – but he does not have anything in him to carry off his character or such wonderful lines. Though they bring some smiles on your face – the lines were really good.

The songs were filmed nicely – especially the first dance of Hritik – "Dhoom Again" – was as good as – "Main Aisa Kyu Hu".

This was the first time – I was disappointed by Masand Ki Pasand's review – who gave 3 out of 5 stars to the movie and appreciated the movie by saying that the Director knows the what audience loves and wants – and delivered that in the movie. I could not dis-agree more with him. It seemed that Masand was blown away by the movie hall full of youngster – in hyped first show; or may be Masand was paid (in cash or kind) to write a good review by the Film Directors. All in all – not a worth seeing the movie – except Hritik. If you are Hritik fan – go for the movie.

My brother roared about the high level of action scenes – but that too can not help me say that – avoid this movie. It is bad!

Our Indian Superhero, while saved people and defeated villains, failed to save the movie.

There is no doubt,Krrish is a tailor-made role for Hritik Roshan, he embodies the character perfectly,his performance, physically and emotionally, is very good.Unfortunately,only performances are the best thing about this movie.

Performances - Hritik is Outstanding,As Rohit Mehra he even outshines Krrish. Kangna impresses again and is perfect for the role, while Priyanka delivers well. They could have done something interesting with Priyanka's character to make a difference.Promos were generous enough to give a glimpse of Vivek Oberai as Kaal, and i was somewhat impressed but the character is dull and boring.

Script and dialouge- No originality.It's formulaic.Characters lack growth.Villains were more like Indian cousins of Hollywood's X-men. Nothing seems new. Hindi movies are incomplete without OTT melodrama and cheesy lines.But c'mon not in Superhero flick....unfortunately, it happens....the first half is laughable ( or you can cringe if you want to )...Second half is serviceable enough.

Songs ---- take an advice, do keep some nice collections of songs in your ipod and play them during any of the movie's song.You can put on the loudspeakers if you like.No one will complain b'cause the movie has the MOST AWFUL SONGS. Krrish songs kinda grew on me later but here the songs are repulsive....

Effects - Commendable by Indian standards and its budget but it fails to reach a level where moviebuff, who has watched a lot of Superhero flicks, can appreciate it.

 The film was released worldwide on 17 July 2015 to positive reviews from critics, who acclaimed the screenplay,
and the acting performances of Khan and Malhotra.
It emerged as a commercial success grossing over
₹6.25 billion worldwide and in the process became the second highest grossing Indian film
