Athidhi Reviews:

Manesh was looking gorgeous in this movie, but unfortunately it was a bit lame. I found the plot a little hard to catch on to, but it had some interesting twists. It was fast paced but I thought it was more exaggerated than the usual Telugu films - Telugu movies are already exaggerated (especially the fights), but this one was a little overboard, the hero had both too much intelligence and too much strength. And one thing I hate seeing in movies is then endings in which either the hero or the heroine (or in this case, both) is (are) badly injured but the couple starts to walk somewhere like their love is really enough to totally heal them physically. Kaizer mentioned that Amrita is about to die and she really looked like it, but then all of sudden she was fine when the story ended. That was the last drop of exaggeration for me. 

As for the love story, it was a nice one. Amrita and Manesh looked sweet together. The songs were enjoyable.

But I wish I would have picked another movie instead of this one. Watch it at your own risk. You might feel your time was wasted.

opening statement 3 years after the prince of tollywood has entered the silver screen with the magic combination of manisharma and trivikram srinivas. 

khaleja is the title and despite controversies it stands apart as a wholesome entertainer with critical flaws.

the case a happy go taxi driver raj alias seethe Ram raj ( mahesh Bab ) turns into a Samaritan for a village with some unrevealing mysteries all around in the village. discovering the depth of the mystery and putting an end to the mystery is the case.

the fate having a simple story the movie of a taxi driver"s role is on the lighter side with all the troubles and achievements he gets. but the Samaritan part is on the serious side and requires lot of careful attention. even though the movie focuses the lighter side on maximum the Samaritan part is the just the driving factor for the movie goers. so the Samaritan role is what the audience will expect ..

evidence ace cinema dialog writer turned director has brought in a case to be solved by the protagonist. but the protagonist is a care free and light guy who does"NT care much. trivikram has etched the role of the protagonist in a casual way as he is a taxi driver. but suddenly one day protagonist realizes the fate of village without him and decides to help them and get a key to the mystery. the mystery is no deep as it is just a mix of all different stories put in one box of 150 minutes. mahesh has seamlessly performed and delivered dialogs to his best. heroine gives lot of trouble for the protagonist. her role is not etched well. prakash raj as the antagonist has been good and under utilized. shafi and rao ramesh are key persons for the village backdrop. they performed well. rest all came in and went. manisharma "s magic in music is not evident for all the numbers except 2 songs. anyhow the score in the crucial sequences were worth noting. editing is the fault in the movie. cinematography is good and worth mentioning. action sequences choreographed by ram and Heinz are to be mentioned specially with appreciation. entertainment value and humor has developed and this led to the back track of the fate to the movie.

what can be better editing is the major fault in the movie. the movie went very slow in the 2nd half and by the time the real story picked up audience has dropped their interest towards the screen and busy scratching their heads. etching the story of the movie in the last 20 minutes is good but already the unnecessary songs in the 2nd half middle and some unrelated scenes to the plot has developed the marginal chance for the audience to put interest towards the end. climax is the crux to the plot and it seemed like the movie ended abruptly with lot of questions left to be answered. with a godly message at the end the credits fall which makes the audience to leave the hall. in the end it is no special movie.

closing statement movie"s fate depends upon the fans and the likings of the audience. its a wholesome entertainer that can be watched once.

This is one of the best Telugu movies I have watched in a long time. The credit goes to Trivikram, the writer and the director of the movie. Also, another strong aspect of this movie is its Lyrics. Sirivennela has penned excellent songs for this movie. This is a decent movie and probably not aimed at the mass audience. The lead lady role is played by Trisha. Trisha scored 100% in this movie. Also, Tanikella Bharani added his experience to the Naidu role. The is one movie I have seen multiple times, every time the movie looks anew - especially the songs. I did not expect a Telugu movie on par with international standards as far as the cinematography and choreography. Music director has done an excellent job. A must see movie.

Only good thing about this film is the performance of the cast, every one did a splendid job. Mahesh should get special credits for his performance as a actor (yup just as an actor not as a dancer). He has to improvise a lot in dancing(this is 21st century yar every one in India love to see good dancers on screen right) Apart from performances story line lacks much content to exhibit as it is predictable most of the time. This film doesn't impinge forced comedy on the audience that is a good thing about this movie. Siva Koratala has great ability to showcase a star on screen(I mean presenting stylishly) but his story line is too short and his screenplay is predictable. Credits must be given to DSP for his wonderful music which is the base for keeping the audience awake during the play time. All the technical department did a excellent job and the production values are really good. So I want to compare this movie with a "A good quality White Paper"

Nice.... The movie truly deserves a watch as it is entirely different.The main power of the movie lies in its writing which is simply amazing.The story of the movie is very new(but foolish) and entertaining and is presented nicely.Screenplay was fast paced and slick.But the overall idea of the movie was too idiotic.The way of taking revenge of his parent's death was too weird.Still i enjoyed the movie for its non-sensical idea and power packed performance by Prince Mahesh.The way in which the protagonist legalised the Mafia was so stupid.What was the police doing at that time?Starting of the movie was too lousy.The lack of comic relief in the script is also a big minus point.But the main plus point of the movie is its writing and the performance by Mahesh babu.He was simply amazing.His body language and dialogue delivery was amazing.Kajal aggrawal looked cute but had nothing much to do.Music was good.Cinematography was good and editing was very good.If you are a fan of Mahesh then you should definitely watch it.And if you are not then you should watch it with low expectations.This movie proves how an idiotic could be turned into a blockbuster movie due to the excellent direction.This movie proves the flair of Puri sir. Well, What can i say...This is what I expect from Movies : Total Entertainment. The movie has all the good stuff about western epics, Chinese epics, but the HEART of the movie is Indian.

The director has done well to get inspired by the good things about international movies and he has added his own unique Indian touch to it.

Basically, the movie is an amazing Love Epic set against a majestic background.

I rarely watch south Indian movies, but this movie is way better than Jodha Akbar, Gladiator, Mughal-E-Azam!!! I think that says it all.

Ram Charan Teja is Megastar material. Kajal Aggarwal is also very apt for the role. Songs are wonderful. Background Music is Perfect.

All in all : The Perfect Indian Epic. A movie that you should not miss in this lifetime.

i hate critical reception but this is the only time i have agreed with critics and reviewers who did not liked this film.there are many reasons for it that this film is Nagarjuna Akkineni's worst.

the plot:Surya is don in India who helps poor people and cant see injustice going on his rising on top but another international don named Feroz comes to India and wants to take over everything,what will Surya do now.

this film was released in 2007 its a south Indian film but the cast is forgettable except Nagarjuna Akkineni who i can without a doubt that he is one of the best actors when he works in serious roles i have seen his films from 90s era mostly his Hindi Bollywood films but here its a faulty script that totally ignores his talent,he should have read it first,the direction is OK but the story is unbelievable with action scenes and songs are created in a on purpose joke manner.one scene is where Surya slides and dodges attack and slows down and spins back again like a video game.

there are 3 dons in India that i know of Amitabh Bachan,Shahrukh Khan Sanjay Dutt who look great in these roles,so what made Nagarjuna chose this film is beyond me it was a wrong career move.

anyway Don.No 1 2007 does not even offer at best entertainment goes into category as least bit my rating is 2/10 2 stars only for Naggarjuna Akkineni he was looking good though,Skipp It
